Job Title: Volunteer Social Media Assistant (unpaid)
Location: The MAZI Project, Bristol
Working closely with: Brand & Marketing Volunteer (Becca) and Founder (Melanie)
Hours: 8 hours a week every Tuesday
Role Overview:
As our Volunteer Social Media Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our mission, helping us spread the word and amplify our impact to ensure every young person feels love through food.
We are looking for someone to hit the ground running in assisting with posting & scheduling social media content across the month. This is perfect for an individual who is looking to develop their experience in social media & content creation, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of Bristol’s marginalised young people!
You’ll work closely with our team to craft compelling social media content, design eye-catching visuals, capture content, and engage with our community. Read more below:
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling & posting content and keeping on top of the social media calendar
- Write compelling, on-brand captions, posts, and stories to promote The MAZI Project’s mission and impact.
- Design eye-catching graphics, infographics, and visuals that reinforce our message and highlight our work.
- Monitor platforms to ensure timely responses to comments and messages
- Capture images and videos in The MAZI Project space, with a particular focus on capturing evergreen content during our packing days.
Requirements:
- Able to commit to a 8-hour day
- Need to be able to work independently and proactively to support with our busy social media calendar
- Share our mission and values
- Showcase creativity and design skills
- Possess strong communication abilities
- You will need your own laptop
This role is perfect for you if:
- Have at least some degree of experience in social media to be able to hit the ground running
- Want to develop your skills and experience in this area, in a supportive and welcoming environment
